2. Scope and principles

This privacy policy explains what personal data we process in connection with our website www.ringelrosen.ch, why we do so, and what rights you have.

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We only process data that we require for the relevant purpose, do not retain it for longer than necessary, and protect it using appropriate technical and organisational measures.

3. Data collected when you visit the website

When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits data which our hosting provider stores in server log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the page accessed
  • Referrer URL, i.e. the page visited previously
  • Browser type, browser version and operating system

This data is used to ensure the secure and stable operation of the website, to analyse errors and to defend against attacks. We do not link this data to any specific individual.

4. Hosting

Our website is hosted by Kreativ Media GmbH, Höschgasse 45, 8008 Zurich, Switzerland. The provider processes the data mentioned above on our behalf and is contractually obliged to use it exclusively for this purpose.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. We use only technically necessary cookies. These enable the website to function, for example by allowing access to the password-protected area. These cookies cannot be disabled, as the website would otherwise not work.

We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising purposes. You can delete or block cookies at any time via your browser settings; however, this will mean that certain features of the website will no longer be available.

6. Getting in touch

If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by telephone, we will process the information you provide — usually your name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry and to process your request.

We retain enquiries for as long as is necessary to process them and to deal with any queries that may arise, and delete them thereafter. This is subject to any mandatory statutory retention requirements.

Please note that emails sent unencrypted may be read by third parties whilst in transit. Therefore, please do not send us any particularly sensitive information by email; please ring us instead.

7. Application for a childcare spot

You can use the registration form to pre-register your child for a place in our childcare service. We will process the details of your child and their legal guardians, which we need in order to assess your application, place you on the waiting list and get in touch with you.

We do not pass this data on to third parties. If no care arrangement is established, we will delete the registration as soon as it is no longer required.

8. Fonts and external content

The fonts used on our website are loaded directly from our server. There is no connection to a third-party font service. We do not embed maps, videos or social media elements from other providers. We protect our forms from spam without using third-party providers.

No third-party services are integrated into our website.

9. Web analytics

We do not use any analytics, tracking or marketing tools on this website. Your behaviour on the website is not analysed and no visitor profiles are created.

10. Password-protected area

Some pages on our website are password-protected and are intended for parents of the children in our care. We will provide you with the password. To log in, we set a technically necessary cookie that stores your login details for the duration of your visit. Please do not share the password with third parties.

11. Photos and videos

On our website, we display photographs of everyday life at our centre. We only publish photographs in which children are recognisable with the express written consent of their parents or guardians. We publish photographs of our staff with their consent.

Once you have given your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with future effect, without giving any reason. To do so, please contact us; we will remove the relevant recordings from the website immediately.

12. Applications

We process application documents that you send to us via the website or by email solely for the purposes of the recruitment process. If you are not offered a position, we will destroy the documents as soon as they are no longer required, unless you have expressly consented to them being retained for a longer period.

13. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell personal data or pass it on for advertising purposes. Data is only passed on:

  • to service providers who work on our behalf and are contractually bound to follow our instructions — namely our hosting provider;
  • where we are required to do so by law or where a public authority or court orders us to do so;
  • where you have given your consent.

14. Data security

Our website uses encrypted transmission (TLS, indicated by ‘https’ in the address bar). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. However, no one can guarantee complete security when data is transmitted over the internet.

15. Your rights

Under the applicable law, you have, in particular, the right

  • to request information as to whether we process any personal data about you and, if so, what data;
  • to have inaccurate data rectified;
  • to request the erasure of data, provided there is no legal obligation to retain it;
  • to object to the processing of your data or to withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future;
  • to request that your data be provided to you in a commonly used electronic format.

To do so, please contact info@ringelrosen.ch. To protect your personal data, we must verify your identity before we can provide any information.

If you do not agree with our response, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern. Individuals resident in the EU may also contact the supervisory authority in their country of residence.

16. Changes

We may amend this privacy policy at any time, for example if we introduce new features on the website or if the legal requirements change. The version published on this page at any given time shall prevail.
